In the early hours of Tuesday, a Ukrainian drone struck a warehouse in the Moscow region, killing five people and injuring ten others, governor Andrei Vorobyov reported on Telegram. The site, near Novoselki in the Chekhov district, is part of the Wildberries distribution network, which Kyiv says is used to supply the Russian military.
Wildberries, often dubbed the "Russian Amazon," has been targeted by Ukrainian forces for weeks. The November governor’s post noted that another Wildberries warehouse in St Petersburg and in the Tver region had also been hit overnight.
In response, Russian forces launched strikes across Ukraine, killing at least four and wounding several in Mykolaiv, Sumy, and other locations. The Russian defence ministry claimed it intercepted and destroyed 320 drones during the overnight period.
Other casualties were reported: an 89‑year‑old woman and two girls in Mykolaiv; a woman and two girls in Sumy; two people in Bilhorod‑Dnistrovskyi; and a food warehouse fire in Dnipro.
Both sides continue to employ drone attacks on logistical and civilian targets, heightening tensions and civilian risk across the region.
